FAQ

How is Loopline.dev different from Jira, TestRail, or spreadsheets?
Loopline.dev connects project delivery and QA evidence in one traceability chain. Stories, test cases, builds, cycles, runs, defects, and releases stay linked inside one private system.
Is Loopline.dev a replacement for Jira?
For some teams, yes. For others, it can start as the structured delivery and QA evidence layer around existing workflows.
Who is Loopline.dev best for?
Software teams, QA leads, PMs, agencies, and internal product teams that ship in cycles and need proof of what was tested before release.
Can we migrate from spreadsheets, Jira, TestRail, or Confluence?
Yes — migration can be discussed as part of Team, Organization, or Custom Deployment.
Why deployment-based pricing instead of per seat?
Loopline is a private delivery system for your whole organization. One deployment price keeps cost predictable as you grow within a tier — without license math on every hire.
Is this self-hosted or hosted?
Both. Self-hosted and MagiQa-managed dedicated instances are the primary model today. Multi-tenant public SaaS signup is not the lead offer — discuss your deployment with sales.
How do we get started?
Email hello@loopline.dev to request a demo or start a 30-day private deployment pilot for a team of 5-25 people. Existing instances can sign in directly.
Does Loopline include project budgeting and timesheets?
Team Deployment and above include sprint budget, project budget rollup (planned vs actual across sprints and backlog), optional budget ceiling on each project, portfolio burndown on the dashboard, and a weekly timesheet grid with task-level rows. Hours logged on tasks feed the same cost math — no separate time-tracking product required.
